Renting an apartment can be an expensive dream, and therefore the Student Union, TAU and Tel Aviv-Jaffa Municipality offer special scholarships through – "Minhelet HaDiyur".
The Tel-Aviv municipality, TAU and the Student Union give out rental assistance scholarships for students who will rent an apartment in one of the neighborhoods included: Neve Sha’anan, Shapira, and a few neighborhoods in Jaffa. As part of the project, the students are required to volunteer in the neighborhood they live in, for at least 40 hours a year. The scholarships can reach up to 9,600 NIS a year, divided into two payments.
